CSIA’s next event in the Day Summit Series has been announced. This full-day event gives you the opportunity to hear from experts, thought leaders and those with lived experience to uncover new research and ideas around innovation and collaboration.
Whether you are planning your workforce for the future, looking at how you keep the great employees you have, recruit for your business needs today and everything in between, this is a must-attend event for you.
The Workforce Summit will be held on Wednesday 7 August at Room ThreeSixty at the QUT Gardens Point Campus, Brisbane. It will be opened by Minister Shannon Fentiman followed by a keynote session and workshop with James O’Loghlin, who will also be the MC for the event.
The Summit will explore how the Community Services Industry can tap into new ways of thinking to create an innovative culture around Workforce.
CSIA CEO Belinda Drew said with the predicted growth of the Community Services Industry, the roll out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the many reforms emerging from multiple royal commissions, now was the time to talk workforce.
“To meet these unprecedented demands, we must take every opportunity to come together through collaboration and innovation, and surface Industry-wide responses to meet our workforce needs,” she said.
“We have carefully planned the sessions for the day so that you walk away with innovative new ways of planning, developing, retaining and managing your workforce.”
Speakers from across Australia will come together to talk about workforce innovation, evidence-based research, the value of lived experience and wellbeing in the workplace.
The program includes a panel of experts who will reveal the real barrier to recruiting and retaining the right staff in the Community Services Industry. Drawing on diverse experiences, they will work to uncover new ideas to overcome Industry’s most common workforce problems.
The day will begin with a keynote presentation from James O’Loghlin. James works with organisations to help them become more innovative in the way that they do business every day.
He is one of Australia’s most respected and experienced corporate speakers, comedian and media personalities, he is known as the host of more than 300 episodes of The New Innovators show on ABC and for his witty and entertaining programs on ABC Local Radio.
