Mandy began with CSIA Regional Inclusion Ready Officer project before moving into the workforce space. Under her project management, she partnered with three regional organisations to host and jointly manage Regional Inclusion Ready Officers. Together they delivered unique place-based inclusion projects in their communities.
She now delivers the NDIS Training and Skills Support Strategy (NTSSS) as the Project Manager. The NTSSS is a Queensland Government funded initiative, led by the Community Services Industry represented by the Workability Queensland consortia made up of National Disability Service, CSIA and the Queensland Council of Social Service. The initiative is complex and multi-faceted but ultimately designed to develop the skills needed as a priority by the NDIS workforce.
Mandy brings more than 26 years’ experience from a variety of roles in disability, vocational education and early childhood education gained in community services organisations and Queensland Government. In this time, she has worked in regional and metro-based locations, in contract, program and project management roles.
Before bringing her extensive experience to CSIA, Mandy implemented projects in rural and remote communities to support universal access to early education for young children and their families and as a frontline worker in community recovery efforts throughout Queensland.
In her role, Mandy is excited by the opportunity to explore and co-design innovative creative solutions to real issues across the Community Services Industry that impact on people’s everyday lives. She is focused on continuing existing partnerships with industry stakeholders and people with lived experience and forming new ones that extend into regional, rural and remote Queensland locations.
