Our history
CSIA was established by a group of community service organisations spurred by the desire to help Industry to make an even bigger impact in people’s lives.
Since inception in 2014, we have grown as a unified voice for Industry, providing a platform for the big Industry issues to be explored and addressed.

CSIA works with a range of stakeholders across greenfield projects, research and our program of work. By connecting our Industry and the broader ecosystem we operate within, we create opportunities for innovation.
We draw on the collective expertise, knowledge and history of our membership to deliver Industry-led responses to policy and system-level issues. These are just some of the ways we are influencing Industry’s way of doing business better.

Our Foundation Members
CSIA was brought to life through a Foundation Membership who enabled us to advance the Community Services Industry through doing business better.
Their investment meant we could:
- Collaborate to create a unified voice to influence policy and other planning and decisions
- Deliver a program of works across the big issues impacting Industry
- Create a suite of tools and resources to support Industry development
- Host events and study tours with information and access organisations couldn’t get anywhere else
- Investigate and address system level issues in new ways
- Co-design new frameworks and roadmaps to wicked problems that are tested and refined through demonstration projects
- Meet with Ministers and key government decision makers.
They continue to believe and support the work we do as Industry Members and engaging in greenfield opportunities.
