Commissioning for outcomes is a holistic way that government and the community services industry can work alongside service users to create lasting change.

It is concerned with the allocation of resources based on the needs or outcomes of a service area.

It is a strategic approach; designing, resourcing and delivering services based on clearly defined outcomes. This is to ensure services respond appropriately to individual and community needs.

This work came about because of four industry leaders who funded the project following their commitment to making positive and sustainable changes in the community services industry:
