How much PPE will I need?
Having the right PPE is important, but so is making sure that your staff are using it properly. Preparing them with some training, access to information and easy to follow guides will minimise wasting PPE. We have some great information here:

Importantly, they have an easy to use infographic guide taking you through the steps of putting on your PPE. You can download and share with your staff, print and provide in kits where staff will need them.
The Australian Department of Health has developed a fact sheet with interim advice on care of people with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 disease that includes use of PPE and a fact sheet on when to use PPE in Aged Care.
Putting on and taking off your PPE – doing these right matters
When situations arise where you need to wear PPE, it’s important that you wear it correctly.

Prevention and mitigation measures are key! The best things you can do is:
- Wash your hands regularly
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Practise social distancing
- Practise respiratory hygiene.
