Women’s Economic Security

Here at CSIA we are committed to working with Industry and government to address Women’s Economic Security.

Our workforce is predominantly women who are committed to delivering a range of services for different groups in our communities. But the statistics show that women are being left behind when it comes to their financial security.

Industry’s role in building women’s economic security

The dedicated, passionate women in our workforce are:

  • more likely to take career breaks to have and raise children
  • take on more of the unpaid domestic and caring responsibilities
  • experience the impacts of domestic and family violence.

This with the statistics you can see above, shows the impact on women’s economic security. We need to come together to change this.

We believe this starts with conversations between organisations and with our government partners.

This conversation needs to focus on the structural issues so we can find new solutions towards improving women’s economic security.
