- NDIS participants doubled from 55, 000 in 2019 to 102,000 at 31 December 2021, contributing to a workforce that grew by 44.8 per cent .
- The largest categories of workers most in demand by most employers are :
- direct support workers (98 per cent),
- allied health professionals (74 per cent) and
- support coordinators (50 per cent).
- The number of NDIS participants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander in Queensland is 9830 (9.6 per cent
- The number of NDIS participants who identify as culturally and linguistically diverse is 5540 (5.4 per cent)
