Meet our new change-makers

The CSIA team continues to grow

As CSIA delivers more opportunities for the Community Services Industry our team of passionate change-makers is rapidly growing.

As we welcome more members to the team, we have also said farewell to two staff heading into their retirement.

As the Inclusion Ready Project enters phase two, the team is joined by Mandy Strathearn in the Senior Project Officer role. She will be focused primarily on regional engagement. Mandy has more than 26 years of experience across the Community Services Industry, the Department of Education, Communities, Disability Services and TAFE. She has worked in regional and central office contract, program and project management roles largely focused on developing service responses to improve access to education, support and community services in regional locations. Most recently Mandy has implemented projects in rural and remote communities to support universal access to early education for young children and their families and as a frontline worker in community recovery efforts throughout Queensland.

Kim O’Halloran joins the team as Senior Project Officer for the NDIS Training Skills Support Strategy (NTSSS). Kim brings more than 20 years of experience in the vocational education and training sector from her roles in both the not-for-profit sector and in Government. She has expertise in workforce development, skills and training, business development, student engagement, contract and project management and has a genuine passion for building the VET sector.

This month we also said farewell to two of our wonderful staff members as they head off into their next adventure in retirement. Penny Gillespie worked across multiple CSIA programs as a Project Manager, bringing her expertise from a range of strategic and senior roles across the community services industry. For the past few years Lois McMillan CSIA Receptionist provided imperative support as the organisation grew. The contribution both Penny and Lois made to CSIA is deeply appreciated and we wish them both all the best with their new endeavors.
