Quality and Safeguarding in the NDIS

Are you and your organisation focussed on being audit ready? We have a must-see session with operational insights, hints and tips you can't get anywhere else.

“I am delivering a session that provides insights into what we have experienced in the Hunter region, including tips about what we have learned.

“Most importantly there are things that you will need to avoid so that you can be successful – I’ll be sharing those as well,” said NDIS six years on Speaker Chantelle Robards (from The Business Centre Newcastle).

Quality and Safeguarding ensures your organisation and staff deliver high quality supports giving NDIS participants choice and control. But how do you effectively implement this new framework to meet NDIS commission requirements?

As part of the NDIS six years on: insights from the Hunter event, CSIA brings you an expert from the Hunter.

Chantelle will take you on a deep dive into Quality and Safeguarding requirements, bringing her knowledge and expertise developed while working with businesses to find solutions for their problems, as well as her explorations of market trends. Information that can be used by organisations across Queensland.

CSIA sat down with Chantelle to talk about what we can expect from her session National Quality and Safeguarding: What You Need to Know.

Chantelle shared what you can expect from the next three years, because the Hunter region has already lived it.

“In the past three years the NDIS landscape in the Hunter region has continued to morph along with the constantly changing NDIS environment,” Chantelle said.

“Business is getting better at providing supports and NDIS Participants are becoming more savvy consumers. The market continues to evolve."

But with the new standards coming in, it has changed the playing field for some organisations.

“Quality and Safeguarding is just the latest disruptor to hit the market,” Chantelle told us.

And this leads Chantelle to the crux of what she can share with organisations that will help shape their future.

“I will talk about the National Quality and Safeguarding process and how it is shaping the market,” she said.

“I’ll also talk about what you need to do, and to avoid, so your organisation can be successful. I want people to walk away from the session with a fresh view on making their mark in the NDIS market.

“While there are no doubt subtle differences in markets within various geographical areas, it makes sense to learn from those who have gone before.

“We are a little NDIS fatigued in the Hunter, but we have learned to draw strength from one another and focus on the goals of offering true choice and control for people with disabilities while building viable businesses at the same time,” Chantelle shared.

When it comes to Quality and Safeguards, Chantelle Robards knows her stuff.

She spent 25 years working in the disability sector across government, non-government and the private sector in both clinical and management roles. More recently, Chantelle worked as the NSW Lead for Business Advisory Services to the disability sector.

Experience that held her in good stead as she worked with organisations to understand and implement the National requirements.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to hear from Chantelle and be involved in an interactive session at the end of the day to engage directly with her.
